Tin Camouflaged Searchlight Made in England

Tin Camouflaged Searchlight Made in England. I think it probably dates from the 1940's or earlier. There's a button on the top that moves a lever underneath to make contact - it would be used for sending Morse code. I don't know what kind of battery it takes or whether the battery holder is complete, so I can't try it out.

The height is about 4 inches. An interesting older toy.
