Germany Sterling Silver Marcasite Bovine Bone Rose Clip Earrings

Beautiful cream colored carved roses, mounted on sterling silver clip earrings with leaves embellished with marcasites. I see the brooch that matches these occasionally but this is the first pair of the earrings I have seen or owned. I have had these under the microscope and I am 99.9% certain that they are carved from cow bone or other bovine bone. They are graceful without being dainty or delicate. Easy to wear with just about anything.

Excellent pre-owned vintage condition. One rose is slightly loose and turns on it's attachment point, but this doesn't affect the look when they are being worn. Each earring measures about 1' tall by 1" wide across the leaves. Each earring back is marked Sterling Silver and Germany.
