Large Shell Cameo in 800 Silver Frame

Large and beautifully hand carved shell cameo, probably cornelian, set in a plain silver bezel pin/pendant setting with a very fine twisted wire embellishment. Catch is a double c type. May have had a safety catch at one time. Frame is 800 (continental) silver and shows some patination but no damage. Probably a mid twentieth century piece.
