Coro Enameled Crested Screw Back Earrings

I don't know whether these represent a real crest (maybe one from a University?) or are just a nice design. If anyone knows for sure, I'd certainly welcome the information! Enamel colors are red, white and a very dark blue or black. Design elements include a turreted building or castle of some sort, a lion and 3 fleurs-de-lis.
