Unusual Bar Pin with Dangling High Heel Shoes Charms

Although this interesting pin or brooch has no marks to indicate maker or place of origin, I have a strong suspicion that it is European, possibly French, based strictly on the other items that were with it when I bought it. Appears to be rhodum plated brass with some sort of red metallic paint or enamel inside the shoes. Well made, heavy casting. I've certainly never seen anything quite like this before and my bet is that you haven't either! Approx 1 1/8 inches x 1 1/2 inches overall.
