Unusual Brass Bow Vintage Dress Clip

I really like this piece, even though we haven't quite been able to decide what it's supposed to be. Someone said they thought it was holly leaves and berries, but I thought the leaves looked more oak leaf shaped, which I suppose would make the round things acorns. Someone else thought it was just a bow. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them! Appears to be gold washed brass. Clip on the back is curved to conform to the curvature of the leaves on the front, which means it would hold even on fairly thin fabric. Measures approx. 1 3/4 inches x 2 inches. Clip is strong and secure. Excellent vintage condition.
